After a number of years of speculation, a musical inspired by the career of the cultist singer Tina Turner and produced by Stage Entertainment will take place in a theater in the West End in early 2018.

“Simply the Best”

Tina Turner, with her real name Anna Mae Bullock, will celebrate her 80th birthday on November 26, 2019. She is very popular in Great Britain where her albums regularly reach the top of the charts and where she shows 33 tubes to the Top 40. So it is quite naturally in London that the project of a musical comedy on the story of this extraordinary artist will emerge.

The plan for Lloyd Tina Turner was simple: build a booklet where the story unfolds through Private Dancer, Simply the best, we do not need Reviews another hero, River Deep Mountain High, and other Proud Mary.

Indeed one of the most anticipated musical events that open in March 2018, Tina “The Tina Turner Musical has just paved the ticket to members of his newsletter while tickets will be on sale officially from all of 22 September 2017. The final performance is currently scheduled for June 16, but it is likely that the musical will be prolonged if it is successful at the end of June, The Bodyguard which has been extended many times thanks to the notoriety of the Whitney Houston tubes.

The show will be staged by Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia!), and the choreography will be by Anthony Van Laast. The distribution is still unknown, but we were talking to you a few months ago about the possibility of applauding the excellent Adrianne Warren (ShuffleAlong) in the title role.

We are eager to discover who will be the heads of posters of this musical biography which is likely to make noise next year in the West End. The tickets from only £25 will be available for booking. For further details on ticket and packages, you can get updates from Premier Experience.

“Proud Mary”

It is only recently that Stage Entertainment has been interested in producing a musical about the life of the artist. Unlike The Bodyguard, TINA: The Musical will be based on Tina Turner’s songs and tell us the career of the singer from her debut with Ike in the 70s, going through her solo ascent in the 80s until today. Like BjörnUlvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-FridLyngstad and AgnethaFältskog from Abba, Tina Turner is co-producer of the show, involved in both artistic and promotional work.

Tina Turner in person is very involved in the project and considering the tube catalog of the star; we can expect a show as thrilling as it is exciting as the singer’s private life was complex. See you in the coming months to find out more about this promising project.
